so, i've decided to call it quits with this particular blog. it's been over four years since i started writing crap in here under 1000 pretenses. i'm either done with blogging in general or i'm migrating somewhere else. oh, and it won't be myspace. i think there's some supernatural force that draws people to myspace. although you know it's the most ridiculous thing ever, you can't stop. at least i can't. anyway, i'm finished. e-mail me or get ahold of me on myspace if this is the only place through which you ever contacted me. if you don't have my e-mail address or myspace, too bad. bye.

saloons, pubs, bars and dives...

i'm not much of a bar-hopper. it's never been my thing. but, sometimes i'm persuaded to engage in this most ridiculous of activities. sure, i had fun. i generally do. but, the aftereffects are never fun. last night i purposefully drank less than usual. i didn't feel like having an atomic hangover this morning. and i don't. so, that's nice.

i like bars and pubs. little places where people sit and chat and drink. maybe an open mic. maybe (but, hopefully not) karaoke. i don't do either, but i can handle it going on in the background. plus, places like that generally have a fair selection of import beers to choose from and not just American lite beer.

so, a couple of the places we went to last night were exactly like this. i enjoyed that. but, we did end up going to a dance club on 4th avenue. it was awful. within 15 minutes of being there, i had some troll who was apparently celebrating her 18th birthday by grinding her ass into every guy that was within 10 feet of her. unfortunately, i waded my way into this circle of terror. after 2 seconds of her putting her hands and ass all over me, i was forced to literally push her off of me. i saw no other choice. i could feel the small creatures that obviously lived in her pants attempting to crawl out and claw me. maybe i shouldn't have shoved her. but, it wasn't a violent push. just a slow, hydraulic distancing push. luckily, it worked and she left. and we followed suit by getting the fuck out of there.

long story short, i despise dance clubs and 99% of the people that go there. i have no problem going to a bar and talking to people i don't know and attempting to chat up girls while drinking actual good beer. but, clubs where the goal is to stand on a dance floor, drinking vomitous mixed drinks, shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of other people, dancing to shitty music and playing "guess how many STDs are in the room" is not my idea of fun. so, suffice it to say, i'll do my best to never go to a shithole like that again...unless it's with a can of gasoline and a tennis ball bomb.

i've never watched Dora the Explorer...but, now i want to...

so, Saddam Hussein will die. how about that? i think everyone knew what the verdict would be. i'm not quite sure if i agree with it. sure, he did some bad stuff, but...actually, fuck it. kill him. the iraq thing is becoming a tired conversation piece and it's just easier to sit idly by and not care. we're all fed up with what's going on regardless. and killing him is only going to fuel the sectarian violence and make it worse. but, i'm not part of the administration so, clearly, i don't know what's right. *puke*

went to a bachelor party last night. the details will stay there. it was a blast though. he had no clue what he was walking into and i think he had a blast. actually, i know he did. i know i did. her name was Mystique. she didn't shapechange, but i wouldn't have asked her to. haha

i was going to wait for the 2 month mark...

...but, lordy, i just felt like posting something on here. i've thought about posting random things that i want to say on myspace, but it's way too public a forum to say anything without restraint. not that i plan on going off the handle or anything. but, my mom and aunt and a few others are on myspace. not worth having a lecture for saying "fuck" too many times.

let's see....lately: indianapolis colts (7-0...fuck tom brady in his stupid ass), car, promotion, bitches, money, 40s, crenshaw boulevard, lost a roommate, gained a dog, drove drunk a few times, paid josh back, but his only lasted a night (weet weet).

pope, pope, pope. what were you thinking? why in the fuck would you get up and say something like that about Islam? even if it is quoted from an ancient text, it still has a clear message.

now, i don't "believe" in the Islamic religion nor Catholicism. but, when you're the Pope...the ultimate representative of the largest sect of a major religion in the world...why would you insult the only religion on earth that currently straps bombs to themselves to kill infidels and non-believers? i guess it's because Catholics are fucking idiots. well, okay, maybe not. maybe it's because the Pope is a fucking idiot. it's just much easier on the brain to just lump all Catholics into the "moron" category than to think why that many people would...well, that's an opinion for a less public forum.

but, not the Pope. he's public as shit, so i'm going to slam him as such.

picture it: you're in the pinnacle position of the most major sect of a HUGE religion. when people think of christianity, most think of you. not only could you probably start another crusade with but a word, but you also hold so much political sway that you could probably be considered the King of Italy (and Heaven) if you really wanted it.

so, when giving a speech in front of millions that billions will hear or read, you basically say "Islam is evil." then you pawn it off as a quote that doesn't represent your "true feelings" toward the religion. bullshit.

if i'm going to give a speech about racism, am i going to include a David Duke quote that says "niggers are stupid,"? fuck no, i'm not. and making a quote like that about Islam when only a super tiny group of extremists are the real threat only makes the world nod in agreeance with you. now, you've just convinced "x" amount of small-minded people that the entire religion is sinister. it's not. just like christianity isn't evil. but, some fucks do things in the name of religion that make you think the opposite.

the weekend is over. well, my weekend is over. before i come to work, i go through a nice little routine of feelings. a little bit of apprehension, a dash of dread and a hint of relief. relief because i have a job and it's not that bad. the more negative shit is because it's sunday. on sundays, i really really don't try too hard at work. i kinda sit here and look at myspace and wikipedia all day. maybe read. i mean, i get my work finished each day, but i just really can't get into it on sundays.

none of my bosses are here and i'm sure that lends itself to my laziness. but, it's not the core reason. the core reasons is that i'm lazy. haha. and time crawls when you're lazy at work. when i'm diligently working for the entire 8 hours, time goes by much more quickly.

as well, typing entries here is limiting. i could ramble on all fucking day about a lot of things that really can't be made into public blog issues. or i can read the news and give my commentary. not really sure if i'm "supposed" to write anything in particular. i've had this blog since 2002 and i don't think one meaningful thing has come out of it.

there were a couple awful phases when i tried to reach out to an ex through here. ridiculous. especially when you realize "x" amount of people read it. then you get that "oh shit, everyone read that crap" feeling. that was retarded.

so, now this thing is just for bullshit. sure, there will be a couple entries that are "oh, serious," but not many. if i have something serious to say, i try to direct it at the person for which it's meant. if not, i try not to publicly air things that aren't anyone else's business. but, sometimes, i'm sure i'll let the wrong thing slip that will make me an instantaneous hypocrite. but, who's not hypocritical? if you're not a hypocrite, then you're a liar. sucks to be either, but it's pretty fun to be both.
